Claska is a gorgeous hotel in Tokyo's Gakugeidaigaku neighborhood, and we were lucky enough to score one of their rooms when we went to Japan last October. It's a small place, with Western-style rooms, Japanese-style rooms, and a few rooms where local artists were invited to call the shots, and the resulting looks is an awesome sort of mid-century modern meets traditional Japan. In the same building is a beautiful shop and gallery, selling little art objects, kitchenware, cases of tea or honey... all with the same carefully considered feel and painstaking handmade packaging. It was hard to leave this place, but I hope we'll be going back soon.

All photos are from the Claska website.
