licorice mint tea

This tea is a tasty mix of licorice root, peppermint, fennel, and weirdly enough, basil. I used the ingredients whole, but they may benefit from a quick crunch in a mortar and pestle.

Licorice Mint Herbal Tea
Combine 1/3 cup licorice root, 1/4 cup dried peppermint, 2 teaspoons fennel seed and 1.5 teaspoons dried basil. Put 2 teaspoons or so of the tea into an infuser and steep in hot water for 5 minutes. There's no need to add honey; the licorice root is naturally sweet.
