chew on this

This is a very special post showcasing the extraordinary work of my dear friend Annie and her organization, Chew on this. What we have here is an ingenious wheel of culinary herbs; line up the little window with an herb and you'll learn it's edible parts, common uses (curries, sweets, breads, etc.), and methods of preservation. On the back are a few handy recipes, as well as a few tips and tricks. Honestly, though, I have to say I'm pretty smitten with the whole package; of course the wheel is gorgeous, but how about that screenprinted chipboard case? So lovely. They also produce a beautiful New York food wheel, recipe cards, and a free downloadable food origins poster. I'd highly recommend heading over to the shop to take a peek!

  1. I've tried going on the chew on this web site to try and purchase their herb wheel. Do they still exist? Christmas is right around the corner and I'd like to give this as a present.

  2. You know, I think they're gone! Such a bummer. If you'd like to email me, though, I'll see if I can track down the herb wheel for you.
