summer reading

It's been awfully rainy here in Portland. While this has meant garden triage, postponing long summery bike rides, and the absence of my signature swath of nose freckles, it's also been a nice opportunity to get cozy with some books. I recently finished Born Round; Frank Bruni's writing is a joy to read, even when he deals with heavy (no pun intended) topics. Highly recommended. Botany of Desire and Eating Animals are next up on the list, and I'm all ears for recommendations!
