tartine bread: the cookbook

Finally, a belated post on Tartine Bread. This is more than your typical cookbook; in addition to gorgeously photographed recipes for desserts and salads and mouthwatering savory fare, this book goes about teaching you how to bake a serious loaf of bread. Chad Robertson painstakingly chronicles how he went about creating a real, old-world bakery loaf from a typical home, and then he passes his findings along to us. From making and maintaining a starter to how to bake your loaf in a perfectly steamy environment, he covers all the bases. I am so excited to start this learning process, and, of course, post my results along the way!
